Lanka Fastener Limited, a 100% Sri Lankan owned public, unqouted, limited liability company was established in 1995. It is one of the largest steel and stainless steel nut manufacturing facilities in south Asia and is located in an area of over 11 acres in extent, within the Investment Promotion Zone in Katunayake.
The products comprise a wide range of steel and stainless steel nuts which is exported to 19 countries on 5 continents. However, Europe accounts for over 95% of the market with Germany accounting for over 60%. Lanka Fastener's exports to germany places SriLanka as the second largest exporter of stainless steel nuts to Germany from around the world. In the year 2001, statistics reveal that Sri Lanka (which we beleive would infer Lanka Fastener) supplied 21% of Germany's entire requirement of stainless steel nuts.
The Company's greatest strength lies in the quality of it's product which is universally accepted as being of the highest quality available in the market. Lanka Fastener is ISO 9002 certified and is working towards ISO 14000 certification, manifesting their commitment towards protecting the environment.
Lanka Fastener has previously won a Silver award in the Large Scale Industry category at the NCE awards ceremony in 1999.
