Europe accounts for over 75% of the market with Germany accounting for over 45%. Lanka Fastener's exports to Germany placed Sri Lanka as the Third largest exporter of stainless steel nuts to Germany from around the world during the period 1999-2003, reaching the second spot in 2001, during which year Lanka Fastener supplied 21% of Germany's entire requirement of stainless steel nuts.
